Delete your data
The Linked Bible (by The Linked Bible, LLC) is designed so that most of what you do stays on your device. This page explains how to delete each kind of data. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Data stored on your device
Your highlights, notes, bookmarks, plans, reading history, settings, profile name, and photo are stored on your phone or tablet. To erase them:
- In the app, open Profile > Privacy & data > Privacy preferences.
- Tap Erase everything on this device.
Deleting the app from your device also deletes this data.
Anonymous usage analytics
Usage analytics are anonymous and tagged only with a random install ID, so we need that ID to find yours:
- In the app, open Profile > Privacy & data > Privacy preferences.
- Tap your install ID to copy it.
- Email it to Support@thelinkedbible.com and ask us to delete your analytics data.
We will delete the events associated with that ID within 30 days. You can also turn analytics off entirely on the same screen at any time.
If you have an account
If you created an account by signing in with Apple or Google, you can delete it inside the app in Profile > Privacy & data > Privacy preferences. Deleting your account permanently deletes your synced data (highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading progress, and profile) from our servers.
You can also request account deletion by email from the address on your account:
What we may keep
If you gave to your church through the app, we keep transaction records (never card numbers) for the period required by tax and accounting law, even after your account is deleted. Everything else is removed.
